Who am I to be writing about this?

Last night I was reading an article on the reasons we must keep blogging, and it got me thinking about why I do it.

I like blogging because it’s a good way to clarify my thoughts, motivate myself and share parts of my life. Sometimes though – actually all the time – I ask myself “Who am I to be writing about this?”

It’s funny. Typically, I don’t like to share all my posts on Facebook because I have lots of friends and family on there, and I’m afraid I could be criticized a lot.

But from today onwards I’m saying “Fuck It!”

I don’t care and I won’t care about what people say about my blog. Of course, people are going to have an opinion of me because I’m putting myself out there and being vulnerable by sharing my story. But it’s not going to kill me either way.

As long as I’m being truthful to myself, I don’t have anything to be ashamed of.
