Change your habits: keep the faith

Having faith is all about living in the present moment with the expectation that what you want, that which you deeply desire, is going to come to pass no matter what.

Earlier this morning I was feeling a bit apprehensive. I was doing some reading about personal finance and some of the new information was a bit overwhelming. For example, some instructions required immediate action and, in my state of confusion, I felt that action was not yet possible. Consequently, I decided to pause for a lunch break to give myself a bit of a rest. However, while I was making my lunch thoughts of lack and inadequacy sprang to mind: “Will I be able to reach my financial goals this year?”, “Do I currently have the skills to make the right decisions?” and “What’s the point in doing all this research if it’s going to be so challenging?”.

Thinking in such a toxic way further increased my confusion and my apprehension. Nonetheless, standing there in my kitchen, I knew what I was capable of and I knew better than to create such destructive thoughts and to allow them to begin manifesting. I decided to take action by listening to a motivational podcast to get some inspiration and lift my mood. Thankfully, with a little bit of faith, I am back on track!

In order to keep going we must have faith. We must believe that something better is out there for each of us. We must believe that the fruits of our labour will be super juicy, delicious and fulfilling. We must act knowing that what we deserve, and all that we are working towards, is going to manifest itself sooner or later. Allowing faith to seep into every cell of our beings fills us with abundant hope and optimism; it gives us the push, the grounding and the momentum that we need to progress further and to bring us out of the darkness.

Let faith carry you to new heights and new levels of expectation. I want you to remember that you are the creator of your destiny. You have the ability to choose how you feel. You can be proactive or complacent, empowered or unenthusiastic, hopeful or hopeless– it is simply your choice.  You have the power to determine both your thoughts and emotions today, tomorrow, next week, next month, next year, and therefore you can determine what will happen in your future. I encourage you to hold onto these thoughts dearly knowing that what you desire is yours if you make the decision to obtain it and allow faith to accompany you on your journey to its fruition.
